HYUNDAI AUSTRALIAN BOARDRIDERS BATTLE GRAND FINAL PRESENTED BY NRMA INSURANCE – NEW DATES ANNOUNCED – 12-13 APRIL 2025

BURLEIGH HEADS, QLD (4/03/2025) – Surfing Australia is pleased to announce that the Hyundai Australian Boardriders Battle Grand Final presented by NRMA Insurance has been officially rescheduled to April 12-13, 2025, at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.

Following the unavoidable postponement due to Cyclone Alfred, Surfing Australia has worked closely with event partners and local authorities to secure new dates that will allow for a safe and successful event.

The Hyundai Australian Boardriders Battle Grand Final presented by NRMA Insurance is the pinnacle of Australian club surfing, bringing together the best boardrider clubs in the country to compete for national glory. The rescheduled event will ensure the competition maintains its high standard, providing elite-level surfing, thrilling matchups in an unmatched format, and a world-class atmosphere.

New Event Details:

·         Dates: April 12-13, 2025

·         Location: Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast

·         Format: Australia’s top Boardrider clubs, World Champions and Olympians competing for the national title

The Hyundai Australian Boardriders Battle is Australia’s biggest grassroots surfing series, involving over 80 boardrider clubs in eight state qualifying rounds before culminating in the epic Grand Final showdown. The event has been instrumental in strengthening club culture, fostering future champions, and celebrating Australia’s deep connection with surfing.

Events Manager (Full Time)
This role is responsible for leading the delivery of major surfing events across WA, including the Margaret River Pro, King of the Point, Whalebone Longboard Classic, and more. We are seeking an experienced and organised professional with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for event delivery in a high-performance, community-driven environment.

Office Administrator (Full Time)
As the first point of contact for Surfing WA, this position plays a key role in the daily operations of the organisation. The successful applicant will have strong communication and administrative skills, customer service experience, and the ability to coordinate bookings, support internal teams, and ensure efficient office functionality.

Both positions are full-time roles based in Trigg, with a preferred commencement date in August 2025.
