FINALISTS DECIDED AT THE 2020 YETI AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR ONLINE SURF CHAMPIONSHIPS

The standard of surfing has been of the highest level throughout the 2020 YETI Australian Junior Online Surf Championships and is set to step up another gear as today Finalists have been announced across all divisions.

Congratulations to the seven West Australians who will contest the final round of the event:

Under 18 Boys: Solomon Pogue-Englert & Jed Gradisen

Under 16 Girls: Willow Hardy & Zali Hewson

Under 14 Boys: Maverick Wilson

Under 14 Girls: Isi Denmark & Ruby Berry

Wave submissions for the FINAL of the YETI Australian Junior Online Surf Championships will be open from Wednesday, November 25th, 10 am until midnight, Tuesday, December 8th. Winners announced Thursday, December 10th.

Western Australia’s Jack Robinson delivered a powerful performance in pumping Supertubes conditions at the Corona Cero Open J-Bay, locking in the highest single-wave score of his Round of 16 heat with a near excellent 7.93. However, he was narrowly edged out by Italy’s Leonardo Fioravanti after not being able to secure the back-up score he needed to progress through to the quarterfinals.
