JACK ROBINSON HONOURED AT PARLIAMENT HOUSE

Surfing Western Australia had the privilege of celebrating the incredible achievements of Jack Robinson at a special morning tea held at Parliament House. As Australia’s silver medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympics and one of the top surfers on the World Surf League Championship Tour, Jack’s accomplishments are nothing short of inspiring.

Hosted by Surfing Western Australia, the event brought together key figures from the surfing and sports community to honour Jack’s dedication, hard work, and the impact he’s had on the sport.

In his speech, Mark Lane, Surfing WA CEO, acknowledged Jack’s journey and the crucial role Surfing WA plays in nurturing local talent.

Matthew Woods Woods, Surfing WA Chair, spoke about Jack’s influence on Australian and global surfing, while Hon. David Templeman MLA, Minister for Sport & Recreation, highlighted the broader importance of Jack’s achievements to Western Australia’s sporting landscape.

Jack expressed his gratitude, reflecting on his early days competing in Surfing WA events, and thanked his family, friends, and Surfing WA for their unwavering support in helping him achieve his dreams.

As Surfing WA celebrates its 60th anniversary, Friday’s event was a powerful reminder of the growth of surfing in WA and the bright future ahead for the next generation of surfers.

Congratulations, Jack, on your outstanding achievements—your silver medal and success on the Championship Tour are only the beginning. We can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next.
