Margaret River Boardriders Club have claimed a long-awaited victory at Trigg Beach, taking out the opening event of Series 13 of the Australian Boardriders Battle (ABB) in a nail-biting final that went right down to the wire.

The Australian Boardriders Battle (ABB) returns to Western Australia this Saturday, with Trigg Beach hosting the opening qualifier of Series 13. For some, the number 13 may be unlucky, but for three WA boardrider clubs it could be their pathway to the national stage in 2026.

The 2025 Think Mental Health WA School Surfing Titles wrapped up in sunny offshore conditions last Friday, with Margaret River Senior High School cementing its reputation as the state’s premier surfing school by claiming an incredible 20th consecutive Champion School crown.

Western Australia will set the stage for the return of Australia’s biggest grassroots surfing series, with Trigg Point confirmed to host the opening qualifier of the 13th Australian Boardriders Battle (ABB).
