THE 23rd WHALEBONE CLASSIC – CANCELLED

Surfing WA has today made the tough decision to cancel the 23rd Whalebone Longboard Classic for 2021. This decision hasn’t come lightly and has been made in consultation with our key partners and community stakeholders.

WA is really in winter’s grip at the moment and while we could push ahead in some pretty atrocious conditions, we think cancelling the event now is the best course of action for everyone involved.

As always Surfing WA wants to provide the best possible outcome and experience for everyone involved in our events and programs, but the safety and well being of our members, event participants and the wider community is of paramount importance.

Surfing WA will begin work now towards showcasing longboarding and truly celebrating the spirit of the Whalebone in 2022. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this announcement. Thanks for your understanding and long live da bone!
