West Aussies Named in 2025 Podium & Pathway Programs

Surfing WA is stoked to celebrate the selection of five homegrown talents in Surfing Australia’s 2025 Podium and Pathway Programs.

The Podium Program is Surfing Australia’s high-performance initiative, collaborating top-tier athletes, coaches & support staff to achieve world-class success across the World Surf League, ISA World Surfing Games, and Olympic Games. The Podium athlete cohort is made up of male & female WSL World Championship Tour Surfers & WSL Challenger Series surfers each year.

The 2025 Podium Identified Athletes:

Jack Robinson, Molly Picklum, Ethan Ewing, Tyler Wright, Ryan Callinan, Sally Fitzgibbons, Liam O’Brien, Isabella Nichols, Joel Vaughan, George Pittar, Callum Robson, Macy Callaghan, Ellie Harrison, Mikey McDonagh, Sophie McCulloch, Winter Vincent, India Robinson, Morgan Ciblic, Sierra Kerr, Jacob Wilcox, Jackson Baker, Kyuss King, Jahly Stokes, Oscar Berry, Xavier Huxtable, Jarvis Earle.

Similar to that of the Podium Program, the Pathway Program is designed and dedicated towards identifying and developing Australia’s next generation of elite surfers. This program encompasses male and female U21 athletes, ranging from pre-emerging talent to WSL Qualifying Series competitors. With world-class support, the program aims to prepare athletes for success on the Championship Tour and Olympic stage, ensuring they achieve their individual goals and performance targets.

The 2025 Pathway Identified Athletes:

Dane Henry, Ziggy Mackenzie, Fletcher Kelleher, Milla Brown, Hughie Vaughan, Willow Hardy, Eden Hassen, Isi Campbell, Lennix Smith, Charli Hately, Harley Walters, Isla Huppatz, Ocean Lancaster, Lucy Darragh, Max McGillivray, Eliza Richardson, Hunter Andersson, Quincy Symonds, Caden Francis, Leihani Zoric, Kash Brown, Maverick Wilson, Willis Droomer, Locana Cullen.

Selected athletes receive individualised support including a dedicated contact coach, performance planning, event support, strike missions, and specialised services in Psychology, Strength & Conditioning, Physiotherapy, Wellbeing and Medical.

The Podium and Pathway Programs ensure Australia’s top athletes and up-and-coming surfers have the resources they need to succeed at the highest level, solidifying Australia as the dominant surfing nation for years to come!

Surfing Australia follows the AIS Athlete Categorisation System to support elite surfers as they progress in their competitive careers.
